113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR That doesn’t look like a 113 mile car to me - unless maybe it was stored outside. |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR VERY badly stored for a car with only 113 miles. What is up with the crappy rear bumper repair, the missing radio/HVAC bezel, and the random spots of filth? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...12762a7ae6.jpg Crappy bumper patch https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...3f970ce277.jpg Missing bezel https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...7461240a99.jpg Dirt https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...8c76c8c0a8.jpg Plastic sticking out https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...044240f4f0.jpg Rust here? https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...5dd8f40fd8.jpg Dirt stain on seat bolster |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR I think they left the "K" off after the 113. |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR That car is in rough shape for the alleged mileage. |

Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR Well, in the sellers defence It does say "odometer reads 110" miles & really nothing more. I'm leaning towards a nice survivor with 100110 miles that needs a little TLC. We all know that ultra low miles are cared for in a different way right from the day of delivery. So this condition at 100 miles seems a bit far fetched. Many sunrises have been witnessed by that interior for sure. it says it was the original pace car on display, So there should be pictures of this somewhere sitting out in the elements? Just my $.004 (inflation adjusted opinion) Edit: I just found this..... https://www.mecum.com/lots/539815/19...dega-pace-car/ So I'll digress & just shrug my shoulders........... :o |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR how did a car in a museum come to be in this poor condition?? as previously stated this thing has wear / tear, fading, failing headliner, missing pieces, rust, paint correction... crazy |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR Those Mecum pictures are even worse. The carpets and mats look awful. The under hood pics showed everything covered in dirt. I havent washed under the hood of my 1985 in about 14 years, and it isn't that dirty with 50k+ miles driven during that time, periods of storage outside, and real vented louvers that would be more prone to allowing dirt in. I can understand the headliner happening from age, and transporting a car can cause some random body damage, but how does a museum car get THAT dirty? |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR 41 Years Of Neglect |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR Something definately doesn't add up. I also would not believe anything I read on Hemmings. It's full of BS, half truths and outright lies. Seems to be the place for flippers out to make a quick buck at someone else's expense. |
Re: 113 MILE 1983 TRANS AM PACE CAR Car is legit very low miles-just badly stored in a damp, high sunlight environ and a rat got in swiped the original radio and bezel...The radio in the car is fairly close to authentic, but not quite right.Car might, propably does, run and drive like brand new :) A couple signs of very low miles include no rash on the CFI aircleaner from air induction seal chuffing against it, hood insulation is not shredded above the fan,all original underhood parts are there, |
