Is this able to be put into a car that had an 85mph cluster without any adjustment to the speedo gears?

The speedo will read correctly (unless there's something wrong with the speedo head).

Pardon me for being the only to ask, but do all the gauges work ?

As a heads-up: Experience says that you'd be better off simply swaping the speedo head, especially if the gauges in your current cluster already function as designed.
