Seat Belt Recall Kit

I know you can purchase them on eBay but I thought I'd check to see if anyone has a kit for sale on here before I make a eBay account. Thank you!

Coming from the automotive industry I was once told that a "safety" related recall never expires. I would contact your local Chevrolet dealer (RIP Pontiac) since the recall applied to both car lines.

It states that "Owners will be instructed to check buckle operation and bring their vehicle back to the dealer for buckle replacement if the buckle fails to latch at any time in the future".

Here is a link to the 109 page document from NHTSA outlining the recall.

Thanks! I should have gone down to the dealer. I ended up buying a kit yesterday. I was told the kits are getting hard to come by. Sure enough I found a set of NOS Buckles in sand gray after I bought the kit. :(

You found a set of seat belt receivers in sand grey? Man, that is a good find, it took me two years to find a NOS pair. Are they still available? ;)

Outta my price range sadly but they do look nice. Mine are ok but the plastic has cracked alittle over the years.

Several years ago I tried to get the local dealer to replace my buttons, but they said it had been too long since the recall was issued. A couple days later I ordered 10 button repair kits. I think with my discount it was less than 4 bucks for each kit.

Be careful yanking the old buttons out, I accidentally broke a receiver on one of my cars.

MDM sells them brand new NOS on eBay and their site.

Medium Dark Grey is the only color that can no longer be easily found NOS.
