you use the seek and scan buttons,(minute,hour)while you hold the set button.

Yep. On the earlier ones, you'd pull (instead of push) the seek and scan buttons to set it (no set button on those).

its a 1989 Firebird Formula 305 tbi T/Top auto. It does have the seek scan and set buttons however using them in the way you mentioned had no results unfortunately.

Ignition on, radio turned off, push the set button only once, set time by the scan and seek buttons.

Got it thanks ha that was annoying having the clock 7hrs 32mins fast. Anyway for the record, you do only touch set button holding it wont work. Radio off or on lol
