1989 camaro power windows

My window only rolls completely up when the door is open. When the door is shut the window stops about 1/2 inch from going up. Does anyone know of a way the adjust the glass ?

That sounds like a worn motor. Mine do the same thing

I thought of that and installed a new one, unfortunately it didn't make a difference.

Are your doors adjusted properly @ the strikers? If the strikers are worn along with the hinge pins/bushings, it will allow the doors to sag a bit when closed. This cause a bind where the door glass has to fight the b-pillar weatherstripping as the glass tries to go up fully. Make sure your door alignment is dead-on....make adjustments if needed (ie new hinges/pins/bushings, new door strikers) and try to dial the windows in that way.

If still not operating properly, then I'd suggest trying a relay conversion-more voltage to the motors will increase their torque so they will more easily overcome any binding problem. Now, this is assuming you've already inspected/cleaned/greased your entire window scissor assembly and rollers inside the doors. That should always be step #1. Step #2 would be check/adjust door alignment. Step #3 would be new motors. Step #4 would be a relay conversion.
