Need help rebuilding interior hello, i bought a 1989 firebird and with the interior striped (as you can see in the photo) https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...08e1a6d9e9.jpg anyway i need some help to see where some parts go, so far i have been stumbled by this part, https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...7500dec944.jpg also any wiring advice/tips/help would be usefull (as in the car had no radio) |
Re: Need help rebuilding interior The dash pad is toast. I wouldn't even bother putting it back in. You'd probably damage and crack it even more trying to get it back in. The bottom picture looks like a piece of weather stripping. Also more pics please as it's hard to tell what you are looking at there Also when you say no radio do you mean just the radio is gone or is the harness and plug for it gone as well? |
Re: Need help rebuilding interior Another problem you might run into is locating and using the correct connectors (screws, plastic clips etc.) |
Re: Need help rebuilding interior Last pic is the dash to A pillar trim. Fills the gap between a pillar and dash frame. |
Re: Need help rebuilding interior Ah, yes you are right. |
Re: Need help rebuilding interior I'm sure there are other places that you can get these but the clips to hold up the A-Pillar can be gotten here. http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/a-...-reproduction/ |
Re: Need help rebuilding interior Heck, my car was only days from going to the wrecking yard and now most of the interior and a lot of exterior are from there. When I pulled the part salvaging the clips was the hard part. Most can actually be found in the "Help" section of auto parts stores . |
