Light monitoring module

Have an 87 with digi dash. The center DIC shows FLAMP but actual lights are good. Headlights, markers, indicators....

Took out the monitoring module PCB with the hope of finding corrosion or dry solder joints but the board looks almost brand new.

Any tips on how can I check? Perhaps some resistance checks on the wires? Or some known IC issues on the board?

If I remove the whole board will I lose also the door indicators and coolant level indicators or just the light monitoring?

Re: Light monitoring module

Don't know about how to test but I've read that even small changes in resistance can make a problem with that module.

If you take it out you will lose the connection to pin C (front lamp) and pin S (rear lamp) on the DIC but not the others. So the rest of the sensors should continue to work. When there is no signal from the LMM there will be no error displayed - if I remember correctly.

That would be fine by me. Will check it out and report back here.
