Color name of Camaro 1982 interior
 

Hello

I want to buy new sunvisors for my camaro 1986 (interior 82 year). It has gray interior, but RockAuto has many colors with name GRAY.

Do you know what color name is more correct for 1982 year?

It's not so much Rock Auto as it's the entire reproduction industry. Instead of using the marketing names that GM used, or the color codes that GM used, they use their own made up names that don't correspond. Probably just as well, because the chances are pretty good that the actual dye lot of whatever reproduction part isn't going to match exactly anyway.

Your best bet is to get a sample from the manufacturer (not Rock Auto, but the actual manufacturer) and see if one of them comes close enough. Or just order sunvisors, headliner, and sail panels from the same place with the same color name, and hope they at least match each other. Can't really trust the color splotches on the screen since there's no guarantee that the color is accurate to reality after being subject to flash, compression, and displaying on your screen.
