Would those heads be good on the Lq4 in my pickup, or overkill?

They would bump compression but make more power with the better port flow. Its a good sized head more ideal for higher rpm but a 6.0 has more cubes than the ls1 this setup was on. Pulled to mid 6000's with the small cam and held well to 7000 rpm shifts

Flow on a local bench showed 272 at .585". 193 exhaust flow at .600. Seems lower than most benches, think stock 243's dont flow over 240-250 on this bench. They are an older patriot head, may not quite be 227cc but run hard on the ls1 it came off of

Bump!

I had a set of older (unmarked) Patriots on a 6.0L LQ4. Quick car and had plenty of breath to nearly 7K rpm with an MS3 cam. Had to fly cut the pistons for clearance.
