3rd gen LS1 Swap AC relocation bracket

Ok so i have been wracking my brain trying to find a solution to this, im doing a LS1 swap in my girls 90' camaro, shes wants to keep the A/C in the car. Im running a spohn tubular K-Member in the car as well. now from what i read i can get away with using either compressor from the 3rd gen or the 4th gen. thing is i cant find a relocation bracket that will work for either of these.

Also does anyone know if this bracket will work with either A/C compressor from a 3rd or 4th gen before i buy it.

You dont need a relocation bracket for the 4th gen compressor if you have a tubular k-member. At least I dont think you do. The 3rd gen and 4th gen compressors are TOTALLY different animals. If you want to make it simple, then get a relocation bracket for your thirdgen compressor. They kind of stick it in the stock location.

Im not sure how expensive those get.

If you want to keep it clean, use the 4th gen compressor. You'll need to get lines made up to connect the new compressor to the older system. But there are lots of places that can make these lines up...depending on your location.

In your case, Ide probably suggest getting a relocation bracket and keeping it simple.

The bracket on ebay will NOT work for the 3rd gen compressor. That is for a sanden style compressor, which is what the 4th gen is....not sure if the 4th gen bolts to that directly, but it seems like it does. (Correction by Five7... The 4th gen compressor is not a sanden unit...)

I seem to remember seeing some brackets floating around. Maybe Hawks?

there are R4 conversion brackets on ebay, holley also makes one for about the same price by the time you get done buying all the add on's.

i will probably go the holley route just for the fact it has big money backing it.

Doesn't. The Sanden is a universal compressor. The 4th gen compressor is not a Sanden.

If you have a tubular K-member, the 4th gen compressor should work. Like said, you'll have to have hoses made up for it.

Ah my mistake. I thought the 4th gen was a sanden style... Thanks for the correction.
