First of many… What’s up everyone? My name is Ronnie, I used to have an 87 IROC-Z. Bought it with a 5.0, swapped out to a 383 stroker carbureted. Sold that when we were having our first baby. Now 13 years later, and four kids later… this one kind of fell into my lap. I always envied stories of people finding third gens for $100. This guy had this car sitting for over a decade in his yard, he just wanted to get rid of it so for $100 I picked it up. I think the guy before was trying to make this a 92/25th Anniversary Z28. He had put the rims, high-rise spoiler in the back, and lower louver kit. It didn’t come with the motor, the Vin number says it was a V6 3.1. Current plans are to take it to my mechanic to drop in a 5.3 LS1, with a 4L80 transmission. I will post pic of that later, paint the stock bright red. XXR rims 17, 18 I don’t know. That’s sums it up! Glad to be back to the Third Gen scene! |
