formula??

i found a red formula with a tbi 305 for 750.00. it has low comp, needs a door. the int. is in good shape and has sfc's and the rear 1/4 panels were rotted but proffesionally fixed and it looks nice. i figured if i get it i would convert to tpi ot lt1 and a t-56, add pwr mirror, locks, and windows. wat i want to know is do you think this is a good deal for 750??

thanx
jeremy

As long as the frame is straight, 750 sounds like a good price as a project car. If you're looking for something to drive everyday AND work on, I wouldn't recommend it. If you want a beater car, it should be alright.

It doesnt sounds bad... especially if it is local to you.

If your still shopping around I know of a few in the price range that would be project cars:

89 Firebird w/305TBI. Motor is tired and needs tires and rims. 170k for $200 in Plaistow, NH.

87 IROC in Malden, MA that is not currently running for $1000.

87 IROC in Gardner, MA (i think is relatively near you), 305TPI, 80k orig miles, flowmaster cat-back. Solid running car. Rust free body. Has whole in the front bumper where a truck hit it with a trailer hitch. He is asking $2000 but will sell for $1500 cash to get it out.

I wont be able to get any pics of it but feel free to call the kid that is selling it. Hopefully he can get some off to you:
