Nor-Cal intro thread - Tell us about you and your 3rd gen! Been a long while since we did one of these. Thought it might be a good way to get to know some of our posters. Try and keep the thread on track somewhat and with real answers please, thanks! :nod: 1. Tell us your name 2. What do you do for a living (job/schooling)? 3. Tell us what 3rd gen you have (want) 4. How long have you had it? 5. What is your goal with it? A picture of your car is always good too! ALSO - After our last GTG I thought this info below may be a good idea for networking and club building. If you work somewhere, or can provide a service/trade/skill that may be beneficial to your fellow 3rdgenners, post it in here along with any location or contact info you wish to include. Does not have to be car related, or have any discount involved, but that's always a bonus! My full-time job is not a resource to list, but I also do computer repair part-time for a reputable mobile company in Sac and have my own clients for side jobs too. I work at a local auto parts store, working on my real estate license right now, and starting tonight, doing some ID checks for a restaurant on band nights. I have an 89 Iroc-Z with a buttload of mods and some here consider this car not streetable for what it is. (see sig) it has not run in probably 3 years.. except for here and there ill get a few miles on it. Currently just waiting on my new Holley EFI system to come in. Still needs a paint job, but all the go fast goodies are done. Goal is to run 11.5 or better on real street tires, and be balls out fast on the street, legally ;) I will post a recent pic when I can get it out of the garage, I do not want to post up an old pic yet. Also own a 98 Z28 m6 , with 191k miles! All stock minus the LID and muffler. My plan is to make it the car I would have ordered if I had bought it new. Changes so far: rear disc brakes, 145 mph speedo, overhead console, leather seats, posi rear. Also looking to join either wyotech or the local community college for Auto Mechanics training. (Once i find funding obviously lol) 3.I Like the Look of ALL the Camaro third gens. I'd like either the Iroc or z28 for better stock suspension though =P 4.Though I have never owned one i hope to join you guys as an active member soon!! 5. Re: Intro thread - Tell us about you and your 3rd gen! Im Terrell I also work at an AutoParts store I have an 86 Iroc-Z that I've had for 10 years and a 90 Formula that I've had for 3 years. Neither run at this time, but the Formula should be running in a couple months. Long term goals are to get it finished for this summer so I can finally enjoy it again. Nov 08, bought a T-top 83 Z28, V-8 CrossFire ($200) Fixed all sort of dumb crap, Drove it for 3 weeks. Picked up my kid, parked waited for my other to finish up with school and BAM!! Hit DS, Rear @ about 25+mph, twisted my frame, NO ONE HURT! I drove away (dog tracking), He was towed (1960's ford pickup). He had really GOOD insurance. Bought me another 83' Z28 V8 Crossfire! Kept the totaled one for parts. My current Camaro had 77K miles. 4. How long have you had it? This month it will be a YEAR!!! 5. What is your goal with it? I am looking for a super clean IROC for a fun car. Unless RamAir21 can help me out on a swap like his, That thing is so clean it brings a tear to my eye. (I have family in Stockton so I can show up at your door for guidance, or stalking whatever you prefer).
