California to Utah

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, my names Robert 26yo tech from SoCal. I'm in talks with a possible employer in Park City, its a ski resort. If I get I'll be there before the 19th of February, my question is what the hell is it like in Utah? are there areas for housing I should avoid? what are the people like? what is the car scene like in terms of thirdgens?

Its all happening kinda fast but its an opportunity I feel I can't pass.

I appreciate any and all info you share with me.

-Robert

attached is a pic of my daily.

Utah is beautiful, hot summers, cold snowy winters, especially in Park city.

Pretty good group of guys as we represent from Logan to St. George. I'm stationed up on the AF Base in Layton.

Park city is ritzy, expensive, but if thats where the work is.

The weather on the West side of the mountatins has been good. Usually 40's with sun but we will get the snow at times. Been kind of snow-free mostly this year though.

Sounds good, I would only be working in Park City, I probably most likely be staying in SLC. I understand the State of Utah requires vehicle inspection for registration, what sort of things are they looking for?

Re: California to Utah

There are inspections only if registered in Certain counties. Not sure if Park City is included, but I know Salt Lake is.

For our cars, it's a visual and tail sniffer. 1981 and older are "one time". Ours are annual. There is also a safety. I'm registered out of state so I'm exempt from the State inspections (military registered in my home state which doesn't require inspections).

I'm originally from California as well, and am in the SL3G's group as well.
Seeing your picture with the Long Beach aquarium in the background definitely makes me miss it ha.
