Where be all the Kansas peeps? I know of JamesC., but thats bout it besides me. I wanna here from ya and see if you live close by! Im from a lil town called Claflin, Ks. Only 3rd gen owner and town, so I drive the baddest car around town. Kids AND parents both say they would love to have my car, even if they're drivin a 4th gen. And I get that warm fuzzy feeling inside when kids say "that's my car!" when I drive by....I love that :D:D:D:D. Here's a pic of it too. post yours as well!

IROCBandit 04-04-2002 10:39 PM

hey im from wichita, i drive an 89 IROC, proubly see me all the time if you ever cruise rock rd. where is claflin? ever go to Wichita Internation Raceway?

DISTURBthePEACE 04-05-2002 02:05 PM

I'm not in Wichita that often. Claflin is close to Great Bend in Barton County. There are tons of 3rd gen Camaros in Great Bend. There is 2 on my girlfriends block alone. One is a Z28 and the other is just a sports coupe. They are everywhere! What color is your Iroc?

IROCBandit 04-07-2002 06:45 PM

i drive a maroon iroc, great condition. we have quite a few third gens here, a few months after i bought mine the kid across the street from me went and got a black one, third gens are dominant around here, some not always the prettiest though

I'm from Kansas.
Only I'm in the southeast area of the state!
My ride is a 91RS ( in the process of being painted). I'll post pics when its done (hopefully by next weekend).

Neo 04-25-2002 11:45 PM

Cornflake that looks sweet.
I assume you used Illustrator? That program is fun but damn is it tiring. I am doing a camshaft and I am paying so close attention to detail I am 1/3 done and it has taken me 5 hours!

Cornflakekid 04-26-2002 02:53 PM

Sorry, Neo.
I'm using Freehand, which is very similar to Illustrator. Both are good programs, but I was trained on Freehand first so I stayed with it.
Don't you hate that when your working in a vector based program for so long you feel like your eyes are going to bug out. I retrace alot of my artwork in freehand and if it takes over two hours I have to stop and take a break.

Neo 04-26-2002 04:44 PM

Who produces Ffreehand? I have never heard of it.

YoungTaeByun 04-26-2002 10:15 PM

.....

Neo 04-26-2002 10:16 PM

coolness

Cornflakekid 04-26-2002 11:22 PM

I beg to differ, now if you said photoshop was the industry standard
for raster editing I would agree (nothing comes close to touching it).
But there are just as many Freehand users
as there are Illustrator users. Comparing these two vector based programs
as to which is the industry standard is like comparing the Camaro and the Mustang. Both are based on a muscle car platform, both use a V8 for there
Top of line models. However the technology is slightly different under each of these competitors hoods. I drive a Camaro, and I think its the ulimate muscle car. Ask a Ford guy and He'll say the Mustang is the ulimate muscle car. Every printer or design firm I have ever dealt with has had both Freehand and Illustrator. Artists choose programs based on personal preference not Industry standard.

Cornflakekid 04-27-2002 11:05 PM

You got me, YoungTaeByun.
You flipped my switch. I'm okay though, I went and worshiped my
Freehand 10 software package for 3 hours and finally recevied innerpeace.

From now on its totally focus on Third generation camaros(That way I
don't get off on the wrong subject).

And yes I'am really that crazy I'm an Artist.

ViciousZ 05-02-2002 12:03 AM

You might see me in any of the three cars pictured below. :D I live in Lawrence, but I'm in Wichita alot, since that's where my garage is. You Kansas peeps definitely need to check out http://www.ksfba.org We need more thirdgen representatives over there. Right now we're outnumbered by the fourthgens... but it's a pretty close match...

Cornflakekid 05-14-2002 11:04 AM

I plan to attend one of ksfba.org gathering this summer. If they have some?
ViciousZ you have some very nice thirdgens. My favorite is the 1991 Z28, but there all cool!

ViciousZ 05-17-2002 05:09 PM

Thanks, the Z is my favorite too. The gta is my daily driver, and the formula is.. up for sale. :( KSFBA does have big gatherings every once in a while, check out the board to see when we have something planned. Most of the time we just have random spur-of-the-moment get-togethers. Well, the Wichita peeps at least. We're sure to be out at MAD some weekend, watch the southern members section to see when.
