Very broad question there! Depending on what you have done to the motor you may already be moving in the wrong direction for running a s/c.

What all is done to the motor?

I kinda figured some of it may be wrong like the cam is way to big so I'll have to pull it but I have AFR heads and roller rockers and flat top Pistons with upgraded rods stock crank

I changed my mind and wanted a power adder and really like the pro chargers. So there was still time to go back and make changes

Technically with a supercharger or blower, a tall lift cam isn't required and many stock cams work just fine. The pistons pulling air into the cylinders need more lift to pull as much air in as possible. With a supercharger/blower, air is being forced into the cylinders as soon as the valve comes off it's seat. A good camshaft would be one with as much duration as possible. Grinds specific for forced induction will also have different valve timing events. Open sooner, close later etc to get as much air forced into the cylinders as possible.

If you intend to use forced induction down the line then building a NA engine now is counter productive. Build it for a supercharger and install the supercharger now.

Sounds like you already have quite a few parts and are well down the path in one direction.

The size of the camshaft is not the problem, it would be valve timing as alky stated!

Compression plays a big part as well as the rotating assy being able to take the increased cylinder pressure. Also ring gap and other things are setup for forced induction.

Not trying to discourage you from what you are doing! You look to have the start of a pretty solid setup. What AFR heads are on there? some other specs?

If you like the procharger by all means I would go that route and run it. You can always strap it on and build another engine for turning up the boost! lol

What are the specs on the current cam? Compression ratio?
