Lets start a Washington thread, hopefully they can make a sticky. Maybe post a picture and some info about your car I think if we do this it would be easier to organize meets and runs.

why If i want to drive a LT1 car I would drive my husbands 95 camaro, If I want to drive an LS1 car i would drive his corvette. lol If I want to drive a L98 6speed I drive my corvette lol.

Swapped cars are unique. third gens are much lighter than 4th gen camaro's and firebirds, and can be lighter than the vette too.

My 88 gta, ls1, t56, 9" only weighs about 3200. 4th gens are about 3500, vettes are about 3300, z06's are about 3100.

im what youd call poor folk i cant afford a full lsx swap...yet lol im making enough to pay my bills and keep the camaro on the road currently unfortunately the audio business is lacking with this economy

yea, that was me a couple years ago, I had my 86, I loved that car, had allot of fun with it, just a 305 and a 5 speed, but it would drift like a 240 lol.

you will love that 6 speed, they are good transmissions, Im running 4.11's in my car and only rev about 1600 on the highway in 6th.

Current cars.
1982 Pontiac Trans am Recaro Edition. Swapping in a 4th gen dash and a new wiring harness. Brand new 350 with only about 50 miles on it sittin under the hood but a damn electrical gremlin is keeping me from driving the damn thing.

1984 Pontiac Trans am 15th anniversary. Working on getting it road worthy. In process of getting new fenders/doors and a good tuneup.

1987 Pontiac Trans am GTA. Was factory red but repainted it black. Working on swapping in black interior. 4th gen seats and belts, center console soon to come.

1989 Pontiac Trans am... Parts car.

Non thirdgen

81 DeLorean

75 Chevy Nova

69 Firebird 400.

This will be my second post so please cut me some slack! :thanks:

Current car is a 1982 Firebird waiting for me to get off my arse and get busy with it! It's currently been on blocks with the engine, tranny, front suspension and radiator removed for a few months now. Sooner or later I'll start a thread on the build. Don't have a photo less than 1MB so I can't insert an image... :crazy: What's up with that? :confused:



Other cars I currently own, 1969 chevelle with a ZZ502, 1956 Chevy half ton 3100 series with a 350HO and Hughes performance tranny. Also own two chevy vans and a Toyota 4x4.

Host them on a site like Photo Bucket, then just use the image tags from the site, or copy/paste the image URL, to insert them into the thread, and you can use them more than once on TGO.

You can post them more then once on TGO, you just have to know how.

Go into your User CP. On the left under Miscellaneous you will see "Attachments".

Click there and it will bring up a list of all your attachments, you can just copy and paste the URL for the picture the same as Photobucket.

I really encourage you to use the attachment feature. As people move along Photobucket albums/off-site websites get closed and the images disappear and we lose what may be a very important part of the post to help future users.

Either way, you should resize your pictures for posting on the web. Nobody wants to download 5 1 MEG images, even with a high speed connection.

I have already modified the rear wheel wells to fit M/T's and have plans to stretch the rear quarters about an inch and half outwards so I can tuck the tires for a better stance.

My Chevelle, the motor currently in it is a ZZ502. The motor in the picture is an HT383 built up from an old Hot Rod magazine with a Vortec Supercharger. 640 hp/600 ft lbs of torque, plans are to take the supercharger and put it on the 350 I plan on installing in the Firebird. Should make for a sweet ride. :)

Currently bought a 86 z w/ tpi that really wasn't running well. Spent a month learning TPI and now it's driving, but not well.
I also own a CTS-V w/ ls6/t56

Yea the situation changed and I was able to keep it. The car is actually in REALLY good shape rust wise... when everything was still assembled it appeared to be a serious rust bucket. The car is stripped of all the panels and most of the dash right now and its just waiting for paint and re-assembly. I was planning on doing a complete restore but I am going to be moving soon and I dont know if I am going to be able to keep it. If anyone knows someone that would like to trade a stripped down 15th (with most of the parts) + 89 parts car for a v6 bird or possibly a crappy 2nd gen LMK.

The Lights were halo 4X6 lamps with H4 bulbs. Had to modify the back side of the housings to fit. Just got them off ebay a long time ago and they have lasted. I still see them advertised on there. I have heard of them not lasting for others but I got lucky I guess...

The rearend as I tell everyone is a love it or hate it look lol.

Street trim has 15x8's with 4.5 backspace with a set of 295/65/15 mickey radials.

Race trim is Billet street lites 15X10 5.5BS with 28X11.50 et drags.

I run a moser 9 with the stock width, 31 spline axles, along with a strange s case with all the goodies.

im running a stock width moser 9" too, 4.11 gears, locker. 6 speed, ls1.

Im doing a supercharger soon and was looking into what i would need to keep the power to the pavement.

Well I run a double adjustable BMR LCA's with relocators, BMR adjustable torque arm, BMR double adjustable panhard bar. -3 on the pinion angle and lca's at the lowest setting stock stuff up front but with 90/10's in front with air bags instead of springs, and this has gotten untuned 60's in the 1.4's with some work I know it will be alot better.

Shedding weight and adding a little bit more power this winter. trying to get a consistent 9.XX car

ive got some tubular lca, adjustable panhard, kyb shocks, lower springs (going to put the stock ones back on).

i might be moving to bremerton soon, so ill probably see ya around. once i get this magnacharger on ill be happy with 11's lol.

Joe. Way out in Gold Bar with an 83 Z28. Carb'd 305 w/5spd. The car is not drivable right now because I'm trying to repair the clutch z bar...hope it holds up long enough for me to save up to convert to hydraulics.

After I get the camaro road worthy I'm going to work on the 67. Going to replace the old tired 283/sm-420 with a 355 (vortec heads, performer rpm air gap intake, mallory dist, and performer carb) and a TH-400. I also have bucket seats and console from a 76 K5 and a 32 gallon gas tank from an 84 burb to put in.

I'm hoping to put a Chevy 400 small block in the ventura with a Th-400 and put in all the other parts I bought for it. The car came with no engine, trans, or interior. I have the dash pad, gages, and tilt column from a 78 nova and bucket seats from a 92 ish dodge shadow.

And if you look close enough you will see the back end of a baja bug next to the boat (the boats not mine and no longer at my place) that I'm also hoping to tinker with too.

And last but not least my 85 4x4 diesel burb.

Only thing different now is it sits on 16" rims with 35 inch tires...the ones in the pic are 33's on 15" rims. I soon will be adding a pair of smittybuilt built tube steps for it.

i have heard of them, been to busy trying to slowly restore this car back, and mods will eventally come. now it is driveable, the pic of my signature make look good, but the camera just makes it look better. i will have to definetly check out pncc.

Cool. My girfriend and I go to some of the meetings. Have been to many recently because the official club meeting place is somewhere down south and we just haven't had the $$$ to afford the gas to get there. Every once in a while the members up here around us have a "north end" meeting and we try to make it to them. One function I'm hoping to participate in this year is their Beater Brunch car show. It's held usually in November at a restaraunt on HWY 99 by the value village in Lynnwood. It's a fun show because the cars don't have to be show quality and we get to see a lot of cool projects there. I'm hoping to have my 67 Burb running good enough to take it to the show this year.
