Boost/ Pulleys????

I'm in the process of building up a Vortech kit for my Camaro. I have everything except the pulleys for the kit. I have a Vortech V2 SQ head unit. I've done some calculations on impeller speed etc and trying to find out the approx boost for the motor. I called Vortech and the crank pulley is 7" and supercharger pulley is 3.48" in their kit. Just wondering what kind of boost this is for a stock 350? I have a 383 with TFS heads and a MiniRam. Trying to find out a starting point for the boost? Any feedback?

The 3.48 pulley on a stock 350 would give about 5-6 lbs of boost. I had fully ported plenum, Accell runners, ported trickflows and saw 5lbs at wot/5500rpm. It wasnt enough so I went with the 3.12 pulley and saw 7lbs at 5500rpm. I changed setup to a 383 with ported everthing and a superram and only saw 4lbs with the 3.12 pulley. I have since switched to an eight rib set up with the 2.95 pulley. That has put me back up to 5+lbs of boost. However my impeller speed is over the recomended max and i try to keep it around 6000 rpm. It is a juggling match, but a fast one. Hope this made sense. The amount of boost you get really depends on your particular setup/engine combo. Not to mention belt slippage, but thats another story.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. I have some pretty good numbers now to start with. Thanks everyone for the replies.
