76cc or 67cc world s/r heads?

which one should i put on my 305 tpi? if i go with the 76cc do i need to do anything else to the motor or fuel/air delivery systems?

It depends......are you setting up for boost or nitrous?

are their heads meant for 305's? 305's have a 3 3/4" diameter accross the bore where as 350's are 4", if they do make it for a 305 get the 64cc, thats what im running on my 350 and with flat top 4 rellief valve pistons puts me around 10.4-10.5:1 compression, can run on 91 but i feel safer on sunoco 94 especially in the heat.

Only reason i could see for going to a 76cc head is if you wanted to run a low compression motor on 87 octane or something like that, but youre losing tons of power and thats really not what were all about here

sorry totally didnt realize this was in the poweradder forum, ya what are you even planning on doing with the motor

the world s/r torquer's are 305 heads. i would go with the 67 cc chambers, though you can get them in 58cc as well.

i would like to run a turbo set-up a few years down the road when i have more disposable funds. right now i want more naturally aspirated power from a better breathing engine.

wheelsup: if they also come in 58cc, which would be better, 58cc or 67cc?

plans for engine: it's going to be a top end build up. heads, manifold, runners, and injectors.

correct me if im wrong but flat top pistons depending on relief valves will give you in the 10.1:1-10.3:1 compression with a 67cc chamber

good for a street car, if youre wanting to make more power youll also want to be swapping a much larger cam in.

As for your intake manifold and runners is great, as&m make some awesome runners, and accel makes much better tpi bases then stock.
however if youre going to spend all that money youre probably going to want to look into either a super ram intake to keep it smog legal, or if you dont care about your EGR the stealth ram is the way to go

why are you choosing these heads? they are barely better then stock, not to mention, why are you planning all of this build on a 305 motor? 305's while they can be made fast cost more to do it.

if you're wanting to turbo it later, you cant stick with the same NA compression ratio as you are running now so the best option, if you aboslutely have to stick with these heads and a 305 motor, would be the 76cc to drop the compression. If i were you, just get some vortec heads, they are just as good if not better than the world s/r torquers. Also, try to fine a 350 somewhere, you can get a running one in decent shape for fairly cheap. Vortec headed 350 with an rpm airgap and nice cam can make an easy 350-375 hp (flywheel) and still retain a boost friendly compression ratio.
