1989 Iroc with 350 tpi and Paxton issues I just purchased a 1989 Iroc from the Family of the now deceased owner. I know little about the history of the engine or the tuning. The engine appears to be a reman block from aarons automotive in MO , there is a tag on the side of the block with a serial number. The heads are edelbrocks , the intake has non oem runners , car has headers and exhaust , car has a cam , holley throttle body , paxton sn 2000 blower , red injectors and a billet rail with adj regulator. The problem is the car runs extremely rich once warm and the idle rises from the blower pushing the throttle blades open? Car came with a new grantelli adj mass air and a shop bill of sale saying it needs installed along with two vacuum canisters for the brakes? Something is not right because the engine does not pull vacuum at idle , its right at 0 hg or even pos pressure? I am going to take pics and come back with more information. Whats the deal with this supercharger system doing this? |
Re: 1989 Iroc with 350 tpi and Paxton issues  N/m I think I got most of the issues solved today. |

Re: 1989 Iroc with 350 tpi and Paxton issues What most ppl do is switch to MAP, and learn to tune. Steep learning curve there. I think I will be doing the same as you. Ajustable maf, and a fmu. Did you run a second pump and the meth injection? |
Re: 1989 Iroc with 350 tpi and Paxton issues Also get a af reader, even if it is a cheap one that will conect to your NB-O2. |
