nitrous advice

I have a 85 iroc I just recently rebuilt the motor its a 4 bolt main 79 350 bored .30 with flat top pistons pretty much stock replacement parts for the bottom end I installed a set of rhs pro action heads I can't remember the specs they're iron heads fitted with comp cams guide plates springs retainers pushrods and 1.5 rocker arms.for a cam I'm running a comp 292 magnum with a edelbrock performer intake matched to the heads and a holley 650 carb... holley mechanical fuel pump no power steering no ac blah blah blah. What I'm wondering is would I be able to add a nitrous set up to this motor that can be hidden so its not visible to the untrained eye its no something I would use on a regular basis just something for those sticky situations where a stang or honda starts to pull on me I can get a little extra umph out of it. That and I have a friend wit an 02 ss runrwning 427 rwhp his motor is built for nitrous he's using something rediculous he said a 3 stage 250 shot he's a rich kid I've raced him a few times on secluded roads he always wins and never uses the nitrous but this was when I had a stock motor with a slightly bigger cam I wanna just run him a few times and sand bag to an extent to where he's comfortable and not worried about losing and I'm gonna beg him for one more only this time I'm running all out and spraying the motor just to get that one win and see th look on his face cause he always jokes with me saying hell will freeze over before your 305 beats me he knows its a 350 he's just giving me ****.... damn I wrote a book sorry I was daydreaming and got carried away basically what type of setup could I run without blowing up my motor and still being stealthy? I was thinking turbo or procharger but that's overkill for what I wanna do so what should I look into 50shot 100 150? Ill push it but not too far thanks for putting up with my rambling lmk what you guys think or if someone has a set up that would work for a nice price I may be interested....

up to a 150 should be pretty safe still

you can get a NOS top shot which actually goes above the carb. lots of positive reviews on that setup, and you can put everything inside the air cleaner so it won't be seen

Any companies you would recommend? I know a few guys running nitrous 2 use ZEX and the other uses Nos and where would be the best place to purchase a set up.... also how hard is it to install a nitours set up I would like to do it all my self that and I don't trust shops either because I get ripped off or they break something....

Re: nitrous advice

its not that hard, the most important thing is to make sure that you pay good attention to the wiring, use red lok tite where the fittings go into the solenoids etc.

a good ole NOS super powershot plate is a decent starter setup, otherwise NX is a good company as well.

other things that are very helpful is to start small, at a 75-100 shot and make sure everything is functioning correctly and keep an eye on the plugs to see how happy the motor is on the nitrous
