Welll.....as they may...i might call in....maybe.

xtremeirocz 03-08-2007 06:26 AM

I might be able to go daniel, I have to help owen tune his car for the pinks race at hrp on the 17th, but maybe after that

esc 03-08-2007 11:21 AM

I can probably make it...especially if it is the one near Otto's. Then go to the show afterwards.

If you wanted to meet at the Hooters on Westheimer, I'm OK with that as well.

BTW, most of you probably never stuck around Otto's that late but by about 11:00 pm the most of the classic cars are gone and a bunch of newer ones (including a lot of rice) move in. So in a way you get two shows in one. :)

ZONES89RS 03-08-2007 11:43 AM

:lmao: ?RICE?...thats cool...i eat rice. lol:lmao:

Red92RS 03-08-2007 09:36 PM

I guess we can plan to meet at the Hooters on westhiemer & gessner @ about 2 or 3 pm saturday. Everybody cool with that?

ZONES89RS 03-08-2007 09:39 PM

Ahem....announcment....not really, Daniel i got the 95 Z running, gotta tighten up some loose ends but it runs, a fuel pump later anyway.

"Easiest" way from there is come in 45 to Beltway 8--go right west--and follow around many miles to Weisteomer exit--go left under freeway/beltway and go about 2/3 miles to Gessner--turn left--go 1/2of a block on the right.

I would take I45S to 610 south to westheimer. Then take westheimer west for about 10-15 minutes to gessner. hooters is on the north side of westheimer on the right behind the Exxon on the corner of westheimer and gessner. Any questions you can call me @ 713 516-2950, my name is Daniel

You going Zap, or are you busy from work still?

ZONES89RS 03-10-2007 01:59 AM

Got the 95 tested and drivable, i will see what happens.

plndtx 03-10-2007 06:10 AM

I'm in for a definate maybe (As Zap would say). I'm in an apt now with no garage. Its a shame for the car but oh well. I'm going to try and wash it before I come.

Red92RS 03-10-2007 12:36 PM

if anyone happens to read this before they leave, i was thinking the first people to get ther could meet in the parking lot and park together. That way others will hopefully find us easier.

esc 03-10-2007 01:11 PM

So what time is it going to be?
The later the better for me. I can't get away yet... :(

Red92RS 03-10-2007 01:13 PM

I am getting there around 2 & will probably stay til 6 at the latest.

esc 03-10-2007 01:18 PM

I'm going to try for about 4 and probably stay until 5:30 then head over to Otto's.

Red92RS 03-13-2007 03:08 AM

Thanks plndtx and esc for showing up, you guys both have 2 of the cleanest 3rdgens I have seen. I wish that I  understood half of the computer talk that you guys were speaking, but It was fun having a 3 car 3rdgen cruise to otto's and i did notice a handful of people appreciating the work each of us had done to our cars:thumbsup:

l_dis_travlr 03-13-2007 02:24 PM

Yeah, when Eric & Chris get together, raise your hands
to save jewelry, cause its to late for shoes & belts.
:blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Chris's car is immaculate.
Did Eric get a new one??? :D

esc 03-13-2007 03:18 PM

I had fun too.
I was good to see both of you, and with our three there was a decent 3rd-gen contingent at Otto's. It was funny, when I got to Otto's I saw that my wife had called me.

She said that she saw 2 red Camaros pass her when she was getting on Beltway 8 and one of them looked like plndtx. :) I guess she just missed seeing me.

And, NO, I didn't get a new car, I just brushed a little bit of the dust off of my antique. :)

It would take more than a little brushing!--LOL!

Sorry--couldn't resist! Seriously, I'm the one that U guys should be picking on! I have neglected my IROC so much lately, I should be horse whipped! Havn't even washed it since the Fall Brawl--much less doing maintence like oil/filter/lube, much less anything more! I need to come over to your shop some Saturday and hang out just to get back in the "spirit" of thirdgenning (is that a word)! :idiot: if I ever get caught up with work, where I can come hang out without feeling guilty!:goodidea:

Hey I got an idea--some time back I went out to the sutocross with U and afterwards I said I want to at least go and actually run my car once just so I can say I did it! Before it gets too hot, U feel like going out there sometime. When/where are the meets the next couple months?

plndtx 03-13-2007 05:18 PM

Eric said he had the car waxed and you could tell. The paint is holding up pretty good for almost 10 year old paint!

esc 03-13-2007 07:08 PM

I wouldn't mind going out to another Auto-X with other 3rd-gens. :)

The SCCA one is the first Sunday of every month at the dog track.

I understand that the BMW and Porscha clubs are still occasionally having theirs (3rd Monday?) at the police academy, which is a lot closer to town. I'll see what I can find out.

And yes, after almost 10 years, I put a little wax on my paint for the first time. It seems to have made a difference. :)

esc 03-13-2007 07:42 PM
