F-Body Gathering in Somerset, KY 6/22-6/23/12
 

FYI -- Somerset, KY (Official Car Cruise Capitol of Kentucky) has HUGE monthly cruises that bring nearly 1000 cars each month (4th Saturday of each month).

Each month, they have a "showcase area" for certain makes/models of cars (ex. Mopars, Corvettes, Mustangs, etc) and June is Camaro/Firebird month. Last year, over 300 Camaros and Firebirds showed up, however very few from the third generation (I was one of about 10-12 total!)
This is a great event that lasts the whole weekend. Friday night meet and greet, Saturday morning cruise event, show, and evening cruise on the strip! Lots of swap meet vendors as well as parts vendors and food vendors too.

This year I would love to see many more Third Gen's show up! There were many 1st,2nd,and 5th Gen's last year, but a weak turnout for 3rd Gen's -- this event is not a judged show and does not cost anything to attend.

It's a great opportunity for some regional third gen owners to get together and show off their rides and enjoy many other makes and models of classic cars in the area, usually several hundred others!

Just putting this out there as well.....I live in Bardstown which is about 1&1/2 hours from Somerset (going through Springfield, Perryville, Danville, Stanford and on to Somerset).
If anyone is interested in getting a "third gen caravan" to Somerset either Friday night or Saturday morning, post here so we can figure it all out. The drive is a nice cruise through some neat countryside.

As long as the weather is nice I'll be heading down saturday. I'll be staying in Lexington with some family. Might be able to meet up with you in Danville or Stanford.

I went last year, may go again this year. I'll be coming from Bowling Green. May be rolling with a few f bodies.
