LOOKING FOR A DECENT ENG SHOP IN PHOENIX. I NEED HEADS / CRANK / BLOCK TURNED / HONED ETC... ANYBODY HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH ANY ??:chevy:

Do Kelly's has done a few engines for me.... does great work..... he's on hatcher and like 14th ave or so

They balanced my crankshaft a while ago. Recently I took a piar of used heads to them to look over before I install them and they fixed them up pretty good. They aren't the least expensive shop around but I think they do a good job and would use them agian.

I've been using Standard Machine over in Glendale i've had them do a couple things and they always take care of me even tho the things i had done were small

I've heard good things about Standard Machine but haven't used them myself. I can tell you to NOT go to Basko. Has personally seen too many fubar'd engines come out of there with rookie mistakes. Whichever shop does the work, make sure you check it upon assembly with at least plastigauge if not micrometers and bore gauges.

I TAKE EM MY RAW HEADS AND BLOCK GET EM MAGNA FLUXED AND MIC'D / MACHINED / ALIGN HONED ETC... AND THEN ASSEMBLE THEM MYSELF. ITS THE ONLY WAY TO INSURE MY STUFF IS PUT 2GETHER RITE AND I GET MY ACTUAL PARTS BAK. I ENGRAVE THEM ALL WITH MY MARK.

i work right next to kellys, but have never used them?

i have a buddy, that has his own machine shop out of his house. he can do whatever you want and to your specs. he does alot of engine work for the guys in azfastest street cars and azgrudgeracing. good guy and good work.

tell me what you need done and i can get you some prices?

HEADS AND BLOCK HOT TANKED AND CLEANED. NEW FREEZPLUGS / NEW STAINLESS VALVES ON L98 STOCK HEADS / CYLINDERS MIC'D AND HONED / CRANK MIC'D / CAM AND CRANK BEARINGS REPLACED / PISTONS MIC'D AND NEW RINGS INSTALLED.

+1 for standard. I had them rebuild my AFR's, they aren't the fastest, but do great work for a reasonable price!

FASTER ISNT ALWAYS BETTER. I DO ALL MY ALARMS IN ABOUT 5-7 DAYS.:blah::blah:
