help on trunk release please

Whats up all can I get a little help on my hatch release. Ok so when I push the button to release it will release but I have to have someone at the trunk to pull up at the same time so the motor does not work. I got a new motor and casing and replaced last night to find I have the same issue. When the power somes in it goes through a relay. There is also another connector that goes on the assembly itself to get power to the motor after the relay that I noticed has a fusible link on it. I was looking at rock auto this morning and I can find the relay for 10 bucks but cannot find the other part the connects straight to the motor itself. I would love to be a ble to open my trunk by myself lol. Is there a way to test these 2 things I have a meter and am prettys savy with it so any suggestions will help. When I had the motor assembly apart and saw the fusible link I was not smart enough to test it at the time dummy. I am also looking for the guides that go in the track. Thanks in advance for the input. I hope everyones projects are going well and will be ready for the next get together.

What are the condition of your hatch struts? If they are too weak they cannot pull the hatch open once the release pops the hatch open. The motor is mainly used to close the hatch not open it.

The struts are definitely bad but I do not here the motor trying to work at all when you touch the button all you hear is the latch releasing.

It doesn't work on open only on close.

The motor doesn't work at all only the latch part donut does not slide up or down only releases latch

What time do you usualy get home fro work? Maybe I can come by after my work (I go through elmirage to get home every day.) I'm pretty good at troubleshooting the hatch pull-down. Or maybe this weekend, since you are close by... Probably the switch in the latch.
Top-down-solutions has a lot of stuff for the pull-down (Including the guides.)
Jason.

Give me at least a day before. I really only have the opportunity to get on here at night (And not EVERY night.)

Ok no big deal maybe if u just took a pic of your wiring or if there is a wiring diagram for it. I could not find one. I think mine had been rewired and it incorrect.
