1987 Trans AM WS6 FOR SALE It's with a heavy heart that I offer my Trans Am up for sale. It's not practical for me to hang onto it right now so I am hoping to find a good home for her. It's a 1987 Trans Am WS6 with 83,175 original miles on the clock. It originally was a 305 but was swapped for a 350 by Dyno Don. Specs on the engine are listed in my sig down below. She runs strong and doesn't smoke. Tires are like new. I would guess probably less than 2k miles on them if that. I didn't drive the car much at all since the Snypers and tires went on. For the most part she just sits on the driveway. Snypers are in perfect condition. Never scratched since they were hardly used. Ok the cons: It doesn't have a headliner in it currently. I do have a good condition replacement that will go with the car. I just never had the time to put it in. Paint needs to be redone. Back in 01 when I first bought it the right fender was dented by a careless driver. It was fixed and painted as well as the hood, front nose, and side door. Guess they wanted it to match but made it worse since the rest of the car wasn't painted. Should of just touched up the paint on the fender once the dent was pulled instead of painting everything they did. Tint needs to be re-done as well. I am giving the repair manuals as well the GM repair book I got for it. Also any misc thirdgen parts I have will be given with it. I have a serpentine system that can be used to convert the car into a serpentine car I will give with the car. Asking price is $4,000 OBO. She is a good car. She's strong and solid. I really hate having to give her up. Here are some pics I took today. More pictures and info can be found at this site www.cardomain.com/id/nbird87 Please PM or email me at transdsm@yahoo.com for any questions or inquiries. For local pick-up and sale only. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_126_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_127_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_135_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_136_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...13_76_full.jpg |

How is the Eclipse running these days? Have you picked out exactly what you might be switching to as your "fun" driver? :) |

Yeah I know what you mean about having to get rid of cars in a sort of order to get the vehicle that you want. ;) |
You do realize that the later Mustangs are not that fast, and your TA is probably faster without the payment factor. I have ridden in several late model Mustangs, including the Cobra, and although I admit I'm no Ford fan, I was not impressed with the stock performance. The 99 Z-28 and or the 2000 SS I currently own are way more impressive SOP/Butt Dyno, and I never raced either one. just my .02 |

try to get a Bullit then.. they came with 265hp, better exhaust, better brakes.. updated gauges, short shifter.. cant beleive im helping you with a Ford.. |
Yea they had 270 hp and 13 inch Brembo rotors. They are harder to find though with sub 25k miles. Still first things first and that is the Trans Am needs to be sold. Here is a chance for someone to pick up a solid, powerful, thirdgen to build into what they want. It's still up for grabs. |
Good luck with the sale Nigel. A 2000+ mustang has a BIG following of high performance stuff and they are good bracket or drag race cars ... if you want to do that. They can also handle decently if you like that as well. Will you be keeping the GSX or? Those are very nice cars as well. :) |
As of right now I am keeping the GSX. It has my navigation and XM installed into it already which was a pain to put in and I don't want to take out. The GSX gets a lot of offers from people though. I have had a few people come up to me asking for me to sell it. Not too many GSXs in the area I guess. I know it has huge potential for power and with AWD traction is not an issue. Turbocharged cars respond very well to mods. With me though it's stayed stock and only has 74k miles on it. Bought it from the original owner:thumbsup: |
That sux that your selling your car. I was in the same boat as you when I sold my 92 GTA for a 04 GTO. I got a killer deal for my car at the time, got i for 23,500 walking out. Was sad to see it go, but there's time when you can't get everything you want. I know I shouldn't say this, since no one likes them. But why don't you get a GTO?? Good luck on selling it. At least your staying with an American rwd muscle car. Peace Out, PsychoGTO |

1 Attachment(s) I ended up selling mine for 4,400. I wanted to get more out of it, but I needed to sell it to pay off my bills. I loved that car, but I was spending money on it to fix it and been stuck with no car. I know in the future I will buy it back or buy another one. Peace Out, PsychoGTA |
I like the GTO but it's out of my price range. I'm looking at under $20k. Yea it's hard selling the TA. I drove it around briefly today and man that exhaust sounds nice and the climb to 60 is brief. |
I've always admired your bird. It's an identical twin of my bird, although yours has the balls to match the looks. If I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to pick it up. I hope it goes to a good home (or that I happen to stumble upon $4,000 before someone else makes you an offer). :( |
Hey Nigel you should bring it out for one last show and go for old time sake. It would be cool to hangout with the car again |
I wouldn't mind maybe hitting up a local meet like at Sonics. I don't want to cruise around in her though. It's hard enough as it is getting rid of her. I still need to see your Vette Rusty. What are you doing this weekend? BTW she still is up for grabs. Price is negotiable. Now the chance for someone to get a solid car with a strong motor to build into what they want. |
I'll be going to the third gen picnic at mile square park on saturday you should come down just to hangout  |
|
I was thinking about doing that but right now I have a couple people interested in it. See the bad thing with me is I want to get rid of it but then I don't. I know I am doing the right choice it's just hard having to give her up. I get too attached to my cars:( |
