Has SC3G.org been hacked?
 

I went to SC3G.org today and my antivirus software flagged it as a bad site with spyware. I left a message on that board, but thought I ought to post here as well. I just checked back and now my antivirus software has isolated a virus as well that it can't quarranteen so it wants me to delete a file. I'm going to run a virus scan, but am warning anyone who may not have antivirus software to stay away from SC3G.org and advising the admins to see if someone hacked us and installed a virus or spyware on the site. Interestingly, when I open the site the warning is for trying to open something that is not even related to that site's url.

Its something on your end Russ. I just went there now, and got no message. Everything is running fine.

Something is wrong.
If I go using Netscape it loads ok
If I try using internet exploder it closes the IE window and the microsoft error report pops up.

I went in with both Firefox and IE and I got none of those messages. Hrmm

Kevin I sent you an E-mail from this site(third gen.org) on April 22,that I had picked up two trojan horse's from the clubs web site.I was using a new computer and trusting the web site and not knowing what was being installed I allowed whatever/whoever access.Now I have one in quarantine and the other has been eliminated.So something/or someone has gained access to our site.I have not been back since.

I just downloaded and scanned the entire site... NO VIRUS!

I responded on sc3g, Frank, but without repeating everything here, my antivirus software cleaned things up and I have no problems with the site now.
