Vortec TPI Build

I'm building a 355cu with a ported TPI Vortec Manifold, ZZ9 Cam, Edelbrock Runners fully siamesed with an inch of divider left, Vortec Heads with screw in studs and guide plates-2.02/1.60 valves fully ported, .028 head gasket, 2 valve pistions, 700r4/3.23 gears, Dyno Don Headers with dual cats and 3in Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust. What do y'all think the horsepower and quarter mile times will be? I do have all these parts. The car is a 1991 Z28

Re: Vortec TPI Build

Cant go 2.02/1.600 valves in Vortec heads. 2.00" and 1.56" is the largest that will fit. And that's not really worth it. I can suggest some Manley 1.94/1.50 Race-Flo valves though. :)

Should be around 290 to the wheels and run high 13's at Fontana.

Re: Vortec TPI Build

Let's not forget the important role that the Dyno Don headers and I assume the exhaust system will play into this.

Sorry Kevin but it has been done before. I asked around to a couple of machine shops if it can be done and the said yes.

Re: Vortec TPI Build

Then the question is, is that a worthwhile modification at your power level?

Re: Vortec TPI Build

That will take major work and $$$$$
You have to move the guides offset.
