Yep stold this car without a gun! Owner stated overheats and shop told him it needs a new motor, also it wouldn't pass smog.

Bought it and put air dam and thermostat in and car runs fine. Erased codes and fixed the intake elbow and it passed smog with ease.

Not 3rd gen related but great donor cars are out there. Got this off craigsllist.

please not car is not for sale, just showing what you can find for engine upgrades cheaply.

this car was converted to a 3.8 4l60e and all its z28 parts went into my mint 97 camaro.

Thanks, I was going to scrap the z28 after I took all the parts I wanted but then my girlfriend really liked it so we took all my v6 stuff and put it in the z28 for her and she drives it everyday now. Slowly been fixing the z28 up this is how it looks now.

We painted the rims, fixed the mickey mouse headlights, found some excellent gloss black mirrors, removed the ugly plastidipped stripe on the hood, replaced hood and trunk lifts.

There was a nice 96 on craigslist new paint interior for 1,200 over heating probably head gasket before I got a chance to go buy the car he sold it to his dad. It's red z28 La. Really wanted to rebuild it an cam an headers an full exhaust. Maybe there will be other deals out there like you found. Didn't you show us this car..
