Couple Q's dealing w/ line locks Starting to get my plans for my winter-mods, and have decided to install a line lock kit. My first question deals w/ where to mount the switch... I remember seeing B&M and Hurst also having a shift knob w/ the button on top (I have the B&M Pro Stick shifter so I have the round knob already). I was thinking of possibly using that as my switch, but was somewhat worried about possibly hitting it during normal driving. This leads me to my second question. When you hit the line lock button, how quickly does it engage the brakes...real quick, or slow and gradual?? Pretty much I'm just worried about having the shift knob button, someone (or myself) accidentally hitting the button and the front wheels locking up. If someone can calm my fears please do so :) Thanks |
mine is on the stearing wheel. hitting the switch doesn't engage the brakes it engages the selonoid. to use a line lock you hold the brake then hit the switch and remove your foot from the brake and the line lock holds brake preasure where ever you have it plumbed. |
thanks ede.... just wasnt sure how they worked exactly |
