Difference between v6 sway bars and iroc/z28 sway bars?

Does anyone know the difference(if there is any) between the v6 sway bars and the v8 sway bars? what sway bars would you guys reccommend?

Easy, size. Having a V6 thirdgen (low optioned car) vs a higher end version (Iroc) basically means you have smaller/crappier swap bars. They are extremely easy to replace and the parts are easy to find. You could buy easy to get aftermarket pieces, such as from a contributor to this site, Steve Spohn, who sells complete kits and would honestly tell you what you need. Such as new bushings to fit the larger swaybar and grease for them. Endlinks are good to be replaced too since your old ones are probably worn to death and newer ones would make a big improvement. However, the best swaybars were actually high end factory pieces. If you look/ask around like on the classifieds you may be able to find the top of the line 36mm/24mm front and rear swaybar combo. Which is what I did then I bought brand new bushings and endlinks from Spohn. They fit well and made a much nicer difference over my base model swaybars (you probably have the same size I did.) I'd recommend getting them if that's one step you want to take to make your car handle. Most people will probably ignore your post though/not respond because the topic has been beat to death. I'm bored so I figured eh. If you search you can find many more upgrades that can fit your needs/budget to make your car handle the way you want it to.

I changed out my 30/19 FR swaybars for GM IROC 34/23 FR swaybars with ES endlinks. Made a difference in the body lean.

My 86 V6 Firebird came with a larger front bar than my 84Z28 did; 34mm hollow vs. 32mm. Then again, the rear bar from the 'bird was about as big around as my little toe, so...
