Carquest "Blue" Brake Pads

The Spohn 1LE front brake kit that I'm installing came with "blue" Carquest brake pads. They appear to be made by Raybestos. I used Raybestos pads on my GTA prior to the 1LE upgrade, and they didn't impress me much.

Is anyone using these Carquest blue pads, and do they work well? I would prefer to use the Bendix Titanium brake pads, but at $80 a pair I'm not sure they are that much better than the Carquest blue pads.

I'm running EBC Greenstuff pads up front as part of my 1LE upgrade. While I wasn't real thrilled with the quality control in the maufacturing, I am pleased with their stopping ability. They grab good, but not too much for my taste.

I spoke with rep from EBC while at

I spoke with a rep from EBC while at SEMA last year and they have improved the build quality. I must have received a set of pads from the last of the old inventory.

The new pads now come with the backing plates powder coated instead of some crappy water-based paint. This should also help with the fit and finish in the 1LE caliper carriers.
