pitman arm part numbers

Anyone know of any of the autoparts stores that have replacement pitman arms for 1986 Iroc Z's ? Napa, Advanced, etc show them as not available. or does anyone know part numbers for other models that will fit?

It's not available, because you don't need to buy one, any more than anybody else with one of these cars needs to buy one. Assuming of course that you have one on it now.

Why are you trying to buy that?

Unless you've damaged it somehow there's no reason to change it.

It's 6-1/2" center to center with a 2" drop

Used on:

1978-87 Century/Regal, Cutlass, Gran Prix, Monte Carlo.
1978-88 Chevelle / Malibu
1978-81 LeMans
1982-92 Camaro, Firebird
1984-87 Gran National

thanks for the replies
there is so much slack where the pitman arm connects to the centerlink that i'm not sure that only a centerlink replacement will take it all out. If I'm going to pull the whole front end down then I only want to have to do this once

The slack is in the centerlink.

The Pitman arm in these cars is just a big dumb piece of metal; no joints in it, no moving parts, nothing to go bad or wear. It doesn't wear out or get loose.

Don't worry about it. Just change out the center link, idler arms, and tie rod ends & sleeves.

thanks for the info, I assumed that was where the wear is but in the event it wasnt i was planning ahead looking for the arm

on another note, while looking at the original tie rods I noticed the the inner and outer are butted up against each other in the adjustment tube leaving no more room for toe in adjustment.

About how much space is there typically between the 2 rods in the adjustment tube on a front end with no wear?

I will be replacing the inner, outter and tube
