Traction issues. Im having traction issues with my 86 t/a. i have 245/45/17 tires and 3.73 possi w/disc. 700r4 tranny with shift kit.the car wont hook up it will broil the tires thru second gear. any tips?:huh: |

Re: Traction issues. If your car is at stock height, you shouldn't need LCARB's. But you need to look at your LCA angle and see. Brad is right, get some new LCA's. And some wider, taller tires. 245/45/17 is about stock diameter (25.7). At stock height, you should be able to fit 255/55's, with those wheels. How wide are your wheels? 8", 9"? You can probably fit even wider tires on there. |
Re: Traction issues. What is your launch technique and what do you shift at. I have a similar setup only difference is my gears are 3.42 and a 3" catback, I can spin the tires through second if I want to but its quite easy to launch without spinning even on cheap kumhos. |
