Front end parts terminology

I need to rebuild my frontend and I called the junkyards to find Control Arms (upper and lower on frontend?) And they pretty much said that the control arms were different on the IROC's and they didn't have any. What is different between the Z-28 with a 15" wheel and an IROC with a 16" wheel and where can I get them? If I am wrong in my terminology, please let me know so I don't soud stupid.

I know of no difference between an IROC control arm and any other. In fact I think the same one is used on A and G bodies; it has a shock absorber mount in it even. https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/eek.gif

I suspect somebody must have thought you were looking for a sway bar.

BTW that is a "lower", there is no upper on these cars.

What he said, they are all the same. 88 and 89 Irocs could have 15 inch wheels stock .
