One tire balder I was looking at my tires today and the front passenger one appears to be alot balder than the one on the drivers side. Its also really worn on the innide half of the tire. Why is this..camber problem? alignment? ------------------ 1991 Firebird Formula 305 TPI,Auto,Custom 3" Mandrel bent I-pipe, Flowmaster 80 series muffler, 3" hi-flo cat, Accel Cap & Rotor,Taylor Spiro Wires,Bosch Platinum Plugs, K&N Filter, Grant GT Steering Wheel, 5% Rear tint, Pontiac Windshield Decal, Fresh paint Former owner of an 88 2.8 Firebird....RIP |
Sounds like you need some new tires and a good alignment. Have you done any suspension mods that would cause uneven tire wear? ------------------

I know I need new tires, I've already done the back ones. No suspension mods yet that could cause any problems |
Was that tire ever on the back? ------------------ 82 camaro--original steering wheel, brake/gas pedals, seats--everything else modified 82camaro |
Never on the back. I looked into it some more today and the drivers side tire (the good one) was very low on air.....would this cause the car to pull and put more wear (specifically on the inside edge of the tire) on the passenger side tire? |
A low tire will only hurt that tire. Most likely you have an alignment problem. Nothing an alignment can't fix. Of course, when you get the alignment have the front suspension checked for worn out parts. ------------------ 82 camaro--original steering wheel, brake/gas pedals, seats--everything else modified 82camaro |
Most of the time, the passenger side tire will wear sooner than the left. The reason is that you will make a left turn faster than a right turn. Thus putting more load on the right front tire as you negotiate the left turn. This is evident when the outer edge of the right hand tire is wearing, but you have stated that it is on the inside of the right side tire. You probably need an alignment |
