t-top or not t-top

I have a '82 Z28 that I am restoring, the only option the car is missing is the t-top. I also have a 87 Trans Am (crashed) from which I will get the engine (305 TPI) and the
drivetrain. My question is : would it be possible to swap the roofs of the car so I can have the t-top on my Z28 ?
Does the body need special reinforcement ?
I know this sound funny to most of you guys,
and the best way to go islook for a Z28 with the t-top already, but here in Italy there are not many camaro around and you to have to get what you found.
Any help will be really appreciated

The swap is possible. It would be very intensive though. You would have to have a professional do it so the car would remain safe in case of a collision. The roof panels would have to be removed from both cars and the bracing (inner roof reinforcement) would have to be swapped. This is the most important step. The car must be supported extremely well to prevent the chassis from getting bent out of shape. It would be wise to clamp it to a collision repair frame machine when attempting this.
