Sounds like it is sticking on the brake shoes. Try to adjust the brakes (through the hole in back) to loosen it up... or just pry the hell out of it, your replacing the shoes anyway. ------------------ 1986 IROC New Crate 350 w/Vortec Heads, Edelbrock 2116 Vortec Manifold, Edelbrock Performer 2102 Cam, Edelbrock 1406 carb, Hedman shorty headers, Flowmaster Catback, Rebuilt 700r4 w/vette servo, etc.. |
Back off the star wheel through the slot. You may need to use a 2nd screwdriver to hold the lever out of the way. It is designed to tighten only and take up the slop. Lifting the lever out of the way allows you to turn it back in bringing the shoes closer together. you have likely worn a groove in the drum or the drum wasn't turned after someone ran the shoes too far down previously, wearing grooves fom the ritets in the drum. The new shoes will quickly fill these grooves, but it makes getting them off more difficult. good luck, Lon. ------------------ 90 RS Convertible Owner: Top-Down Solutions (626)369-0040 http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/eef01...svrK8ATT_dzvLs http://www.sc3gfb.org/members/lonsal.html http://www.taskerinc.com/gs3/profiles/Lon_profile.htm |
