torque arm bushing I ordered a torque arm bushing from summit racing 4 the lips facing towards the driveshaft from energy suspension. Part number ending in 31112 r. But when I open the box it was facing the other direction. It only fit in a certain way into the bracket. Are there different bushing brackets or did I just get the wrong part ? |
Re: torque arm bushing there are 2 different bushings, i think 82-85 and then 86-92, im probably wrong so correct me but i know there are 2 of them |
Re: torque arm bushing Yes. From my understanding there is. My question, to better put it is, are there different brackets for these different bushings, or are there just different bushing? I just don't want to recievr the same part that doesn't fit the bracket grooves the correct way. |

Re: torque arm bushing Turns out I got the wrong part. Tomorrow I will install the right one. |
Re: torque arm bushing The diagram is no longer offered on that webpage, could you please let me know which part you used and for what year? I ordered a 3.1112R for my 89... |
Re: torque arm bushing It's not about year, engine, model, assembly plant, or any other rhyme or reason we mortals outside of GM here know about. Some got one, some got the other. Good luck. Maybe you scored, maybe not. Be kind to the one you got, in case you have to return it and swap it for the other one, and the next (un)lucky soul would like to get a box that doesn't look like a grizzly bear tried to eat it, same as you would. ;) |
