Why this bracket? Can anyone tell me with this set up Why is this bracket used? Ever since I installed these the Azz end of the car moves left and right going thru dips. It did not do this with the factory set up. Thanks. http://www.brazosvalleystreetbeasts....IMG_0963_1.jpg |
Re: Why this bracket? panhard relocation bracket, is your car lowered? |
Re: Why this bracket? It looks like the brackets are not installed correctly. The bracket in the back should be installed on the inside of the body mount, I would imagine you have a lot of play in the pan hard rod between the brackets. |
Re: Why this bracket? You Sir would be correct! I talked to the guys at Founders and they said the same thing. The kit came with the brackets but no pics or instructions. They said one braket goes inside. OOOOOPS! Car is not lowered. |
Re: Why this bracket? That setup is for a lowered car, I am guessing that if you wet the car at ride height and look at it you will see the bar is running downhill towards that bracket, probably at a pretty good angle. The ideal setup is at ride height for the panhard bar to be level. This would minimize the movement from left to right as the suspension moves and moves the rear end mounting point through the arc. |

At ride height it is running downhill. I purchased the relocation bar for exhaust room only. The add did not say it was for lowered vehicles?? Product Description MADE IN THE USA! Founders Performance panhard rod relocation kit replaces the upper panhard rod support while relocating the lower panhard bar. This relocation kit gives enough room to run up to a 3” true dual exhaust system over the passenger side axle. Kit comes complete with a new heavy duty upper panhard bar support made from 1.25" x .120" high strength DOM steel tubing, CNC laser cut mounting brackets and all new grade 10.9 hardware. Our relocation kit will work with the factory panhard bar and all aftermarket panhard bars. Features: - Upper Panhard Bar Built using 1.25" x .120" DOM Tubing - CNC Laser Cut Mounting Brackets Guarantees Precision Tolerances - 100% Bolt in Set-Up - Available Powder Coated Red or Black Application: 1982-2002 F-Body Camaro or Firebird All Vehicles. I am now confused. If it were for a lowered vehicle the panhard angle would be worse.?? |
Re: Why this bracket? The bracket will (also) work well for lowering the panhard. BUT, you will also need an axle side bracket to lower that end as well. There have been some threads (ReidFlemming? SlickTrackGod?) that have discussed the merits to lowering the panhard. |
Re: Why this bracket? that set up is for any camaro. stock or ?..its made to get 2 pipes over the rear end...lol. thats why its lower.. you then take up and center the rear with the panrod..just so ya know |
