preferred wheel bearings? im going to replace my wheel bearings but im not sure which brand to use. anyone had a good experience they want to share? |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? Pretty sure the overwhelming choice is going to be Timken. |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? Always Timken. |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? who carries timken now? i see rock auto has them can't find anywhere else. |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? I think NAPA might have them. I just ordered mine online. |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? Amazon also, but Rock Auto is usually cheaper. |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? I just order all my Timken bearings off Rock Auto also |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? From being a manager at Autozone I can tell you for a fact that at least 8 years ago Timken was making the Autozone line of value craft. Some of them even came branded as Timken. The only difference was the price and warranty length. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of bearings you can buy are still re-brand timkens. Use a high quality grease, repack them at recommended intervals and seal the wheel bearing cap and you will be fine. |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? would you guys confirm this is the correct part for the front 1991. Timken # LM67048 and Timken # LM67010 found them on rock auto. about to order with the acdelco idler arm I ordered inner bearing and race, outer bearing and race, and inner seal. is that everything? I didn't see an outer seal listed |
Re: preferred wheel bearings? The dust cap is pretty much the outer seal. |
