Re: New steering shaft I have a brand new GM steering shaft for the 3rd gen cars picked it up a few years back and had it zink plated for rust proof it's a full unit. bolt in with the rubber boot..everything all the way down to the rag joint.. test fit for a short time 100% bolt in $100 shipped I can get pics |
Re: New steering shaft Is that first shaft solid? Or am I just overlooking the collapsible portion? |
Re: New steering shaft what I upgraded to..chrome fits every thing https://i.postimg.cc/rmxcPJcZ/streering.jpg buckets of left over parts... |
Re: New steering shaft nice |
Re: New steering shaft Walter Racecraft sells them also. Thats where I got mine. |
Re: New steering shaft Detroit Speed Engineering sells a replacement that looks like the pictures above that I bought from Summit /racing, very nice unit. I took the astro shaft off and replaced it with the DSE unit, pricey but worth it in my opinion. |

I’ve been searching for a replacement for mine but I cannot come up with anything this “style” Mine mounts to the column with a 1”DD and a side bolt that threads through a notch on the side to both pinch and prevent sliding. The u joints look just like these pictured but I can’t find a part number anywhere Astro maybe? |
