running rich, please help

Ok guys, im lost, i have no idea why this car is running rich, and why i cant get it figured out. I have spent alot of money the past few months trying to get this thing to run right, but still every time i fire it up i get that puff of smoke, its not oil, and definately not antifreeze, i know its gas, i just dont know why. The engine is a 350 TBI, it has an LT1 cam, Edelbrock Torker II intake, Holley 670 TBI, March 3 piece pulleys, dynomax 3" exhaust with 3" bullet racing muffler, 1.5 crane roller rockers. Since the day i put the engine in this car it has run rich, but now since i have done all these mods it runs even more rich. I have adjusted the fuel pressure up, and down, and played with the timing alot, im just lost, i dont know what to do anymore. The car runs excellant, it just bothers me i cant get it to stop running rich. In the past few months i have installed a new coolant temp sensor, IAC sensor, and O2 sensor, and still nothing. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated guys, oh, and my holley 670 tb is for the 350, so im not positive what # injectors those are, i think 65, but correct me if im wrong. Anyways, pleaseeeeee help me !!!! thanks :)

What computer are you using and what is the application for the chip in it. If your using a 746ecm you might want to get a chip from GM for a cop car tbi ecm. I'm sure someone else will help answer your question as well.

To the top please.

Double check you wired up the sensors correctly and then look for a vac leak before the MAP sensor. This can explain the run really rich part. If you're running so rich that it's visual, you risk washing the cylinder walls and getting gas in the oil. You need to be careful and figure out the major problem with either winaldl (dude, it's $5 in parts, 15 minutes labor, and a borrowed laptop!) or a hand held scanner that costs way too much.
Winaldl, cost...free...function...priceless or about $80 every time you have to ask your mechanic down the road to help diagnose the problem. You do the math.

sorry to sound lazy, but is this winaldl a common tool (something I can find at a pepboys, autozone, checker/schucks/kragen?)
what kind of connection does it use to communicate with the computer?

i'm getting the same puff of smoke when my car starts and i'm running a combo really close to esmartuek - how low can you go with the fuel pressure safely? I'm running around 15psi right now with my stock 305 computer and ignition. Is it necesarily bad if you can see the fuel dribbling off the TBI butterflies when the motor is running?? I'm starting to get worried here....

ps - i've got my fuel pressure set at about 14-15psi at an idle right now with the gague clamped on the rubber part of the fuel line.

gee, I wish I knew what my fuel pressure was...
that's one of the few tools that I don't have access to: a fuel pressure guage.

I'll look into getting that info for ya, though.
