What do you guys think of this link?

Oh no, not this link again!

Sorry, but for some reason that link comes up once about every couple of months, and people just hate it for some reason. It's a decent write-up, but there are a lot of things he doesn't mention even once. PROM/chip burning being the most important.

There have also been a lot of more interesting, more powerful, and more real world build-ups since that was written too (Fast355, r90camarors, JPrevost, etc. right off the top of my head have built some good motors, but I'm sure there are many more).

What's up with you? I asked a question about what this guy has done. I am fairly new to cars, so I am trying to learn whatever I can. How can I learn if you don't tell me what is bad about that link? So instead of that :bs: you did. Why not help a brother out and tell me why you don't like it, so I can learn! And just because he doesn't get into "Tuning", is that mean what he did is wrong? I have just started to mod my car and have not tuned at all. I would like to learn but it is still over my head. I mod as I learn, what's the problem with that?

well kris I'll see if I can help.when I first got my car I went on the internet to find out what I could do to improve the performance of my tbi.I found that web site as well and thought it was the end all be all for mods, until I found TGO.He does have some good points about a few things and he does give a few clues as where to start with minor boltons and such.but some of his comments are alittle far fetched. If you really want to get the ost out of you're car look at the stickies at the top of this forum. It has a whole truckload of knowledge to start from. But as far as black echo goes his name here is a bit of a curse word I guess you could say.

:lmao: :lmao:

This link has good intentions but it 100% clear that this guy has never practiced what he preaches. If he had PROM tuning and fuel mods would have been in his first sentence.

This TBI forum is filled with real world dyno and technical data. From that data you can use basic IC engine math to determine what your car is really capable of. This math somehow escapes the author of that link. Fear not! TGO is the place you want to be and there is no other TBI source on the net that you need to consult. We dispell all hearsay and play the roll of TBI mythbusters.
