Welcome and nice setup!

Yes, there is a lot of support here for the 93-95 truck TBI systems. The DIY-Prom forum is a good place to start.

You will also need to get prom burning equipment. www.moates.net has what you need. You will need the G1 adapter along with 27SF512 chips and a prom programmer.

The cables are not too terribly difficult to build, if you know how to solder.

If you don't find a good deal on one, and you don't have any soldering skills, send me a PM, I can work up an "Ugly, but a goody" for you, for the cost of parts.

Re: new TBI guy

Yeah, that cable usually doesn't work. You should build one with an external power input.

Try modifying your cable to the first schematic on this page, with the external 12v input (you can plug it into the cigarette lighter, if you buy the connector).

http://winaldl.joby.se/aldlcable.htm

ETA: Also, don't use Resistors R3, or R4. They are not needed, and will cause problems.
