How many times do you plan to ask the same question?

Either folks don't know the answer, or they can't figure out what you're trying to say because of your poor grammar and punctuation.

Or that a TBI f-body doesn't have a choke light...

RBob.

Maybe its the glow plugs? :D But seriously, you gotta give us more info in full sentences. There is no choke on a TBI.

Had a thought, I wonder if the dash was swapped to an older one. And in place of the 'choke' light location the VATs security lamp is there.

Scenario works, stranger things have happened over the 30-some years of these cars.

michael, does the ignition key have a small chip in it? If so your car has VATs (vehicle anti theft). This may be the issue.

RBob.

I'm not sure about that. They're on different connectors. Unless the OP is having other gauge and lighting problems. The choke light shows to be on pin 4 on connector C1. The VATS light shows to be on pin 4 on connector C2. Idk? Whatya think from the diagrams? I think connectors C1 and C2 are mirrored too, but don't take that as fact.

My 1992 Firebird did the exact same thing. As far as I can tell the gauges were swapped with an earlier one so the choke light came on instead of the Security light.

thanks for all the help but some times it starts and some times it dont all depends on if the choke light stays on

Re: throttle body choke problem 89 camaro

No one can help if they don't have correct information. There is no choke on a TBI and there is no choke light in an 89 Camaro as ALL carburetors were discontinued in the early 80s. Listen to what is being said and check a few things as asked for. Rbob asked if your key has a chip in it, alluding to maybe a VATS problem. With all the GUESSING going on, it is probably the most plausible.

Take a picture of the key. Take a picture of the choke light when it is on. Folks on here can tell you if it has VATS by looking at the key. They can also tell you if your dash is not correct for your year by the picture.
