TBI Maf Help Hi everybody, I know this has been talked about, and I've probably missed something simple, still new to all of this. I feel like I've been reading dimented24x7 posts till my head hurts, so sorry for the long post. I Had the 8062 4.3 , did a v8 swap in my s10 awd with the 7747, upgraded the 747 to the 27sf512 chip, then repinned my harness, got the g1 adapter, and upgraded to the $0D 427 ecm. I love this ecm, and have been reading meticulously on converting to maf. To be honest I'm stuck. So here's my story.. I started the the BJYL, and by using Fast's 700r4 xdf and EagleMark's tutorial on blms over on another website, got my VE table where it's been better than ever before. I got the 5.3 maf, and have it all wired up. I have the signal for the IAT sensor, but not for the MAF. I loaded up the 0DMaf and made the changes to by bin, but never got a signal. On top of trying to do it with my bin the maf.xdf I have is a constant checksum error with aldldroid and will not connect with computer even with checksum disabled. Unplugging maf has no effect, So I'm assuming it just running on stock ve tables I put in. So I did something probably pretty stupid, I had found a maf-experiment bin, and transferred a lot of settings from my bin over to it assuming it had the code in it, and viola, it worked, got a maf signal, and a horribly rich stumbling, fell on its face died. I Think maf signal went straight to like 5000hz or something. the maf.xdf does connect and read with this particular bin. Yes, I did change the frequency table to the stock 5.3 one, and added 5gm's to lowest cell. I changed the INJ Flowrates for my inj to 7.7. my questions were, why didn't my bin work? And/or how do I import the maf code to mine to execute? Can someone help me with a somewhat generic 5.7 700r4 bin for an auto set up for maf I can make changes to? My truck is a 1991 chevy s10 5.7 TBI Awd 700r4 mostly stock 3.73 gear ratio, (just changed to dual 2.5 exhaust, H02, and thats about it) Sorry for the newbie questions, I had read for what seemed forever but you know if you stare at something long enough you'll space some things out...ha So thank you in advance. |
Re: TBI Maf Help You might want to try posting on gearhead-efi.com. I know Fast355 regularly posts on there and ran the MAF setup for some time on his van many years ago. I have not seen dimented24x7 post here in some time. |
