Does powder coating keep heat out?

I am going to make a ram air for my car and would like to powercoat it "almsot chrome" what I'm wondering is w/ teh metal I know it heats up and warms the air, would powder coating keep the heat out so the air stays cool? thanks

i would think that by making the metal less porous(spelling), you lose surface area, and inhibit heat dissipation. in other words, i think it'll cause a higher heat,...but very minimal.

any coatings will usually slow heat transfer, so
it should stay cooler longer, but then take longer to shed heat once it's hot.
If you want to really insulate your ram air, then make it in two layers of material or wrap it with thermotech.
