Questions about small plastic vacuum lines that hook to coil bracket for TPI...
 

Well I broke one of those so I'll need to go buy some more. Also, I don't recall the exact routing of them - I've got cruise and A/C if that matters. Also, does the pcv hose on the driver's side hook up to the plenum or the manifold? If it's the plenum, what's the fitting in approximately that location on the manifold for? Thanks for any help.

That is the EGR solenoid that is sitting near your coil. One line goes to the EGR valve, and the other connects underneath the throttle body. The PCV valve on the driver side goes to the intake manifold.

Apparently, everyone has trouble finding the material to make these lines except me. They are a hard nylon tubing, thermoformed to the contours required. You can get this at most local industrial suppliers in sizes from 1/8" to 1/2" O.D. It's available in white, black, yellow, red, green, and blue, and probably other colors if you look harder.

It can be heated and bent to form whatever shapes and bends you might want. It costs about 15¢ per foot. Ask for Coilhose nylon tubing at your local distributors, or order what you want through McMaster.com or MSCdirect.com

What are the typical sizes needed? I know there are 2 sizes, and they seem to be 1/8" and 1/4". Am I right? I usually repair these with a piece of rubber vacuum line and some rubber cement to splice them.

I think you're right. Most sizes of the nylon are a ¼" or under. I have to use rubber cement at the ends as well, but I'm partial to the "racing red" nylon instead of the boring old black rubber. The nylon is supposed to be good for pressure or vacuum ut to 250°. Since there's almost no pressure or vacuum, the operating tempeature is even higher. That's probably why the factory chose to use it in the higher heat areas under the hood, like the EGR lines stuffed under the plenum.
