305 flywheel work on 350?? Would my LG4 Flywheel work on a 350? The specific one i'm looking at is the GM Goodwrench 350 (LM1). Thanks. ------------------ --Steve S-- 1984 Trans Am 305 LG4, 5 speed Daily Driver, Flowmaster 80 Series Holley 600 cfm & vacuum advance Soon: Edlebrock Intake & TES |
It depends. If both motors have the same crank (i.e. 1 piece rear main seal vs. 2 piece) it should work fine. I'm using my original 305 flywheel on my IROC. ------------------ The IROC Homepage View the restoration of an 85 IROC "I didn't know a bored out Ford could go so slow" -Shenandoah |
It's a 2 piece. ------------------ --Steve S-- 1984 Trans Am 305 LG4, 5 speed Daily Driver, Flowmaster 80 Series Holley 600 cfm & vacuum advance Soon: Edlebrock Intake & TES |
Steve - It should work just fine. I used the 305 flywheel when I replced the tired LG4 with the Goodwrench 350 about 5 years ago and everything still works fine. If I remember the 350 has two piece rear seals so it should work. Good luck |
